Small Business Web Design That Wins Customers
Your website is usually the first thing a potential customer sees, and they decide whether to trust you in a matter of seconds. A slow, dated, or clunky site quietly sends business straight to your competitors.
I'm Quinn, the owner and developer at Skyline Web Designs. I build custom websites for small businesses by hand, one line of code at a time. No WordPress, no drag-and-drop builders, and no bloated templates that slow everything down. Plans start at $150 a month with zero money down, so a professional website is finally within reach for a small business budget.
What Is Custom Web Design?
Custom web design means your site is built specifically for your business instead of forced into a pre-made template. Every layout, color, and line of code is chosen with a purpose: to load fast, look great, and turn visitors into paying customers.
With Skyline, custom also means hand-coded. Your site is written in clean HTML and CSS rather than assembled from third-party plugins. That difference is invisible to your visitors, but it's the reason your site stays fast, secure, and easy to rank.
Why I Hand-Code Every Website
Roughly 80% of small business sites run on WordPress, and most of them are slower and less secure than they need to be. Builders lean on stacked plugins and heavy databases that create bloat, break during updates, and open easy doors for hackers. Hand-coding removes all of that. Here's what you get instead.
Faster Load Times
A site that takes more than three seconds to load can lose up to half its visitors before the page even appears. My sites are lean by design and load in about a second, which keeps people on the page and turns more of them into paying customers. That same speed lifts your Google Ads Quality Score too, so your ad budget stretches further.
Rock-Solid Security
Static HTML and CSS sites have no database and no login page, so there's simply nothing for a hacker to break into. You skip the constant security plugins and update panic that come with WordPress.
A Cleaner SEO Foundation
Google rewards fast, well-structured sites. Because I control every line of code, your headings, meta tags, and page speed are optimized from the start rather than patched on later. That means better rankings in search and a stronger Google Business Profile in the Maps listings, right where local customers are looking for you.
What's Included In Every Website
I don't nickel-and-dime you with add-ons for the essentials. Every website I build comes with the things a small business actually needs to compete online.
- Custom design built around your brand, not a recycled template.
- Mobile-first, fully responsive layouts that look sharp on every screen.
- On-page and technical SEO, including optimized meta tags, clean structure, and sitemap setup.
- Perfect Google PageSpeed scores on every page.
- Hosting included on subscription plans, with your domain always owned by you.
- Unlimited edits on subscription plans, handled directly by me.
- Accessibility best practices so a wider audience can use your site.
My Web Design Process
I keep the process simple and hands-off for you. Most projects go from signed contract to launch in about two to four weeks, and I write all of your site content for you along the way.
- Questionnaire. You answer fewer than ten quick questions about your business, services, and what makes you different. I handle the rest.
- Design approval. I share the first draft on a screen-share call and refine it until you're genuinely happy with it.
- Development. Once you approve the design, I hand-code the site and send a demo link to review before we go live.
- Launch and support. Your site goes live, and I stay on to handle edits and updates so it never goes stale.
Who I Build Websites For
I work with small business owners anywhere in the United States. Whether you're a contractor, a restaurant, a consultant, an accountant, a medical practice, or a brand-new startup, I can build a site that fits your industry and actually brings in work.
If you're a fellow developer or agency, I also take on white-label and overflow projects. Reach out and let's talk.
How Much Does A Small Business Website Cost?
Skyline websites start at $150 a month with no money down, which includes design, development, hosting, unlimited edits, and SEO. If you'd rather pay once, a standard five-page site is available as a lump sum. You can see the full breakdown on my pricing page.
